    Its 1042 I have the same hydrometer - all the colours are a nuisance. Its the line under the numericals that denotes each 10 units. What is more the reading is usually wrong 'start beer' is between 1030-1040. 95% of the beer kits I do usually start 1046 to 1055

    Covid the *** and the final stage.

    No system will be perfect. I have done 3 festivals, tested ourselves as requested before each one. No one checked but I had some peace of mind that I was not a spreader. Re stats, guess the only reliable one is how many people require hospitalisation.

    It KILLED a passed school girl friend - that is the bottom line. Anything that will help what's not to like? You have Flu' jabs, measles jabs, polio jabs etc. etc. To me its a no brainer!

    Got to say my Plum was very underwhelming, thin with no body - it was years ago never tried again. Damson there lies a tale - more or less same recipe each year, sometimes it's wonderful others usually very dry so I mix it with a sweet one and then its ok ! Too many Damsons? Make some Damson...

    I have thought a lot about this and I have the answer. Castration! Think about it, the culprits are not going to change. Any sprogs they spawn will be brought up with the same ideals and philosophy to life, so best stop them breeding now!
