The novalager lager, tastes like an American lager in the vein of Budweiser. Not too bad but not was I was going for either. Anyway novalager is good but it still takes a while to get there like any other lager yeast.
Freshly carbed WCIPA, I swear that carapils the shop sold me was more like C60.... Enjoying the new HBC522 it has that perfect old school C hop character for me.
I was looking at diluting post fermentation but have never done it before what is your process for thisnifny9u don't mind sharing?
Also I have been running that hochkurz mash for the last 5 batches and really like the results.
Only stainless for me, unless I am doing a sour or now an open ferment. I think it makes a difference, acetaldehyde issues with plastic if in leave them too long. I mainly use cornies though to ferment in and sold all my fancy stainless ferments a while back. I do have a SS brewbucket still.
I would imagine CML in the UK is a good option due to proximity of the repack and climate. I am not sure where MJ is repacking, I thought it was Australia, but if it's not in the UK I would lean towards CML.
I could be wrong and maybe Llalemand/Fermentis do all the packaging at the...
I was going to ask, there is nothing wrong with rehydrating it's just an extra step. Keep doing it if you have good results.
Also it's good to note, the manufacturers Llalemand and Fermentis are probably testing with the best treated packs available so that may translate differently after yeast...
I used to have issues with mangrove jack's yeast all the time. They were much slower to get going and occasionally never did. I know it's all the same but there must have been something going on with the repackaging process or shipping.
I blended the Munich bitter and the landlord clone. This is fantastic. I might transfer the rest of the landlord clone into the bitter keg. Anyone combine two kegs before?
I know Northern Brewer says 97 is chico but here it's not related? In the new wheel it drops out though so I am not sure.

Lallemand BRY-97 – Surprisingly, this strain doesn’t group with the Beer 1 US strains, but rather in the Mixed group. As supposedly one of...
Ok so 2 months after brewing, it's a very passable pilsner, still some apple but it's feint but gets stronger as it warms up. There is no sulphur at all, which makes it seem less crisp than other lagers and accentuates the malts.
