LALBREW NEW ENGLAND v VERDANT IPA

I would be surprised if this is the case based on the flocculation characteristics. Fullers drops out fast and clear, New England usually gives a decent haze and is quite fruity from the few times I have brewed with it. Verdant seems like a better match but not that close. As for the original...

What are you drinking tonight 2023.

A very delicious and surprisingly flavourful dark czech lager. And only 3.8%

And last one for the night the Landlord attempt. Quite bready and malty with some herbal and spicy hops. It's been so long since I have had a landlord I am not sure if it's similar.

That's good to hear, I'll let these bottles sit for a while more before I make a final judgment. I might crack open a bottle of the date syrup batch, I suspect that one will be different than the molasses based ones.

Dumped the rest of that one. And onto the commercial stuff to give the homebrew a bit of a breather. The 2nd favorite Czech pils.

What are you drinking tonight 2023.

Here is the first bottle of the muscavado bitter. It's not very good, it has the same character as when I used brown sugar in my winter warmer and I am having trouble describing what it is, maybe it's molasses flavour? There is plenty of brown sugar and alcohol in the aroma, it does smell good...

And a novalager, I forgot what I hopped this with. Not bad and getting better with time.

Mixing S-04 with the Fuller yeast?

Well I took it a step further and mixed a yeast cake of A-09 pub, S-04 and WY 1469. I have been very happy with all three of these yeasts, specifically the A-09 pub it's definitely the best fullers version out there. I am going to split this in a couple jars and brew up a mild and best bitter...

Back to the Munich bitter, this one is getting better with age. A lot of fruit, mostly raising and cherry, but there is also some orange citrus in there too, it's also on the sweeter end. The bitterness is very well balanced in this one.

Found a couple Citra wheat's from last summer. Still bright and actually quite delicious almost a year later.

Need some help deciding what to brew

Brew day today, I am getting the strike water ready but I can't decide which IPA to brew.

What are you drinking tonight 2023.

I couldn't resist a pour of the Munich bitter I just kegged yesterday. Still smells like raisins but a rich caramel flavour is peeking out now. Might be worth pairing caramunich with some DRC.

Belgian single, it's getting better with age. And surprising similar to the DuPont.

    Lion Brew!

I used to have a garage gym over in the UK, but now live a mile away from the local one that has good hours so I just go there now. But I can see the synergy between a gym/pub/brewery. Refueling between sets and dreaming up workouts in the pub.
