For Sale: Corny Kegs, CO2 distribution board, taps, JG fittings plus more

Hi guys, I'm having a bit of a clearout and I have the following items for sale. I haven't used these items for 6-12 months so please assume they need thorough cleaning before use. I'm based in Wolverhampton or Birmingham - initially I'm looking at collection only over the next couple of weeks...

    Manchester city centre pub recommendations

Would definitely recommend Port Street Brew House, great selection of beers. We tried Black Iris Brewery - Snake eyes 3.8%, Red Willow - Shameless IPA 5.9% and a Galaxy pale ale 5% (I forget the brewery). Will definitely return! Cheers

Fermentation Time - Am I waiting long enough?

I've recently increased my fermentation time - its tempting to try and speed things up but you may cause yourself more issues. My Nelson Sauvin SMASH has been in fermenter for 14 days so far, I'm planning on transferring to secondary this weekend and probably leave it for another few days then...

    Brew Kettle Advice Needed!

I think most replies so far have missed this point. I started with a 3V setup using stainless steel stock pots from Bergland, which can be ordered via [email protected] for decent prices if you’re handy with DIY. or if you look at angel homebrew you can order the same pot but...

    CFC build

finally got round to using this CFC, brewed the Nelson Sauvin recipe from Greg Hughes' book again. Untitled by Ben, on Flickr My pump had blocked with leaf hops so I gravity drained the wort from the MaltMother through the CFC and into the fermenter. The wort was cooling to 17 degrees in...

Racked my Chinook IPA - Some Q's

Hi Jon, StarSan is fine - the majority of people appear to use it - "don't fear the foam"...! I usually keg and carb a beer and try to leave it approximately 4 weeks before tasting. The beer may need to lose the carbonic bite and condition before you'll know how good it will be. I don't think...

    2 brews in one day!

that cranberry addition will be interesting, haven’t seen that before. i’m jealous you managed two brews in one day, I’ve been trying to find the time for one brew for a fortnight now and still haven’t done it!

Oxford teacher faces action over 'misgendering' pupil

oneflewover - spare me the righteous lecture of martyrdom, I work in the public sector! I'm 10 years in, and have a wife who is a teacher, so I'm perfectly aware of the day to day struggles... My ACTUAL point was that the child would be fine in the public sector because if they one day...

Where do you keep your "stuff"?

i’m fortunate enough to have a double garage so all brewing gear is in there - the wife is happy as long as it all stays in there and doesn’t cross the imaginary boundary into the house. the little stuff is in an old fermenter bucket

    The MaltMother

Coffee Oatmeal Stout hit 1.010, 50g of ground coffee cold steeped in 500ml boiled then cooled water, for 6 hours in fridge. Added to fermenter, kegged 48hours later. Tastes great already!
