First grain kit - please tell me I'm doing this right!

Thanks Pittsy! That makes a lot more sense now. I didn't realise the hop additions were timed from the end rather than the start! I'm going to brew tonight - I'll try and write a better set of instructions for people wanting to brew this kit in future.

First grain kit - please tell me I'm doing this right!

Hi all, So on the basis of many positive reviews on the site I bought a Full Extract Discover America Pale Ale kit from site sponsors The Homebrew Company. It's all arrived today and whilst the kit looks great, the instructions are a little sparse. I've done a Coopers IPA kit before so I know...

The Home Brew Company Full Extract Discover America Pale Ale

Completely different kit but my Coopers IPA had an OG of 1.035 so you're not a million miles out. Question on the Home Brew Company kit - it doesn't say whether any other ingredients are required to complete it. Can anyone who has finished a kit advise if it needs any sugar or spraymalt?

Large rubber stopper needed - please help!

One of the CraigTube videos I watched suggested using a condom. I guess more room to stretch, a better seal and (you'd hope!) stronger than a balloon.

The Home Brew Company Full Extract Discover America Pale Ale

I have a couple of questions on this kit if anyone would be kind enough to answer. First off it'll be my first two can kit and also my first with hops. Can anyone confirm whether I have to boil the full volume of liquid with hops or, similar to my 1 can Coopers IPA, can I do a partial boil and...

    Bergland Stockpot

Thanks guys, I managed to find the ebay.fr page but when I tried looking at items for sale it appeared to be blank - it seems fine now though. I suspect Google Chrome with autotranslate was causing some problems.

Jeltz - do you have a link to where you ordered from? I've tried looking on eBay but the company in question don't appear to have any listings at the minute. Do they have a normal online store?

    Greetings from London

Hi all, New member from Central London here - I'm half way through my first batch of extract brewing and looking to move up to all grain as quickly as possible. Satisfying though the kit was I really want to be creating my own beers from scratch ASAP. Inspiration is the West Coast IPAs...
