Good evening everyone. I'd be keen to grab a sack of crushed pale malts on your next order. I'm in Chester and noticed Paul say he'd bring to Ellesmere Port - unless anyone on the list is Chester based. Please let me know the process so I can look to order for the next delivery. Many thanks, Josh
West coast (the best coast) for me! I've used KegThat for a while now for my brewing supplies and they're great. Pretty close to me as well so useful for things I've quite often forgotten! Ben is who I've dealt with mostly and he always gives excellent service. Cheers!
I've scanned over this thread and I'm interested in a sack of extra pale malts and I'm in Chester. I currently get one from a local brewery for £25. Where are the pickup points for this bulk buying setup?
Cool. I haven't used it for a while as I've been on a yeast journey for my hazy IPAs. London Fog is my favourite at the moment but also had great success with the Lallemand east coast yeast.
How’s your brewing process? Have you made a few successful beers with your current methods? If things are going well you should definitely get stuck in. Oxygen is the enemy with these beers - especially when loading with hops in the whirlpool and dry hop charge. I’ve wasted so much beer getting...
Ah cool, not far then. I moved to Chester last November after living in Manchester for 15 years. I previously grew up in Flint so know this area well anyway. Any home-brew meet-ups round here?
Yeah as the others have said both the crystal addition and oxygen will, perhaps, be making your brew darker than you want it. The latter will also certainly be affecting the taste in (IMO) a negative way as per the style i.e. Hazy IPA/NEIPA.
I bought some yeast from their eBay shop a couple of days ago. It kept disappearing and coming back on as available so I just kept checking and then ordered when it was there.
I've used the haze yeast maybe 5 times now? Even with the simplest malt bill - 100% pale malts - the beer has been VERY hazy! Are you using anything to clear your beer - maybe it's that?
I dropped the temp for a few hours but not long. Don’t want lots of oxygen being sucked in! Used the yeast about 4 or 5 times now and it’s truly brilliant.
