    The deep red from shop bought wines comes from having the skins of the grapes in contact with the juice for a long time. If you want to darken your wine you can use grape concentrate. Some of the more expensive kits also have grape skins in them, to get the same result. Ther's no hedgerow...

    Perfectly normal - let it ferment out and rack off in the normal way. Just Yeast nucleating around particles.
