His Ben Shapiro interview is a thing of beauty. Squeaky little Ben, hearing that Andrew Neil was right wing, expects a free-pass. Gets his @ss handed to him. It just never gets old.
@jimbo1982 What was the OG and current gravity on your milk stout ? Depending on how much lactose you added, you can expect it to bump up the FG a fair bit. Also, the attenuation on MJ Empire Ale is relatively low.
I've used the CML Saison yeast twice, and ended up with a banana-bomb both times. It's nothing like Belle Saison or the Mangrove Jacks M29 in my experience, and it finished about 1.010, whereas the other dry saison yeasts I've used finished at 1.000 with the same recipe. The banana does fade...
@ Northern_Brewer Thanks for the info. I phrased the question badly, I just wanted to know which of the yeasts' would work best in a hoppy style and which in a malt-forward beer ( with a grainbill similar to a Belgian beer ). I'll try the Ebbegarden or Hornindal for a hoppy beer. Maybe the Espe...
If I was looking for two Kveik yeasts on Ebay, one 'fruity' for NEIPA's, IPA's, Pales etc and one 'weird, funky, Belgian-ish' for more malt-centric styles, which two should I go for ?
I got WLP650 in a lucky dip a while back. I did a split batch Tripel, pitching the Brett. into secondary and leaving it to do its thing for a few months. The beer turned out really well. I didn't make a starter, as I reckoned on Brett. being fairly hardy. You could always do a search for an...
Where did you get your recipe from ? Cream ales don't have lactose in as a rule, which would explain the high FG. If you punch the recipe into some brewing software I think you'll find the FG is about right taking the unfermentable lactose into consideration.
