    Crafty Maltsters

What are people using for their ingredient profile settings in Beersmith and Brewfather? I have just reused an existing crisp pale ale one and renamed it to be honest!

Closed transfer from FV to corny

The corny is a closed vessel full of air, so when you fill it with beer the air is displaced and needs to go somewhere.

    Keg King's Round Table

The compressor hump in my fridge is always the pain - tbh I was going to go for a kegland all rounder as it would fit. But if there are new toys coming ...!

    Keg King's Round Table

I'm also interested in the roadmap for products. What I would really want is a pressure fermenter with about the same profile as a 30l bucket, so it will fit in an undercounter fridge. I think the snubnose is just that bit too tall.

    Crafty Maltsters

I agree, I'm lucky enough to be able to collect in person but as they are enthusiastic, genuinely decent folk with a great product then I'd be happy to pay a few quid more.

    Thermometer reccomendations

I have an original thermopen and it's never failed me yet. I got mine cheap because it's pink!

    3kw Element Recommendation needed

Honestly - I'd get another Brewbuilder one. I have a 3kw one in my 3v setup and it has never let me down. Out of interest how did your one fail?

    Robobrew V Hopcat

I have a 35l robobrew and I love it, the false bottom is very good. I also brew to a keg length but wouldn't mind being able to do double batches. To be honest I still have my old 70l 3 vessel set up but really can't be arsed with the faff now I'm an all in one convert! I can see myself...

    Robobrew 3.1.1 not impressed.

I love my robobrew, must have done 15 plus brews on it now. I'm still refining the process .... Wasn't your base full of fibre insulation? Mine is, presumably to prevent heat loss straight down.

    Sodium percarbonate..

Would be interested to hear about that, isn't it quite hazardous?

Russell Gas - CO2 supplier in East of Scotland

You mentioned a monthly rental, I'm sure I used them in Larbert for my gas and it was more expensive but no monthly fee?

Count me in! Is it cheeky to ask for both? Snub nose is the preference however!

Fermentasaurus, Fermzilla or Fast Ferment. Which to buy?

@ CEO Keg King - any more information on the 30l keg/fermenter coming out?

    New Competition rules.

I agree, but if we can't all agree then I'm happy to bow out

    New Competition rules.

I'd like to take part and potentially judge in future but one thing that puts me off is finings. If anyone used animal based finings such as gelatine then I couldn't drink the beer. Could we have a rule to state no finings (other than kettle seaweed)?

    Pasta pasta...

My favourite is an entire bulb's worth of garlic cloves, sliced thinly and put into a cold pan with about 100ml of good quality rapeseed or olive oil. You then bring the oil up to temperature very, very slowly and confit the garlic until it slightly browns. This is then added to a nice big pan...
