    Punk ipa Wetherspoons 5,2%

@AdeDunn I put your recipe into Beersmith and it comes out at 75 IBU! In practice was it bitter? My recollection of this on cask was pretty smooth with just a slight bite. Also, any tips on the yeast? I was thinking of using US-05 or maybe nottingham.

    Single Check Valve

I'd get on the Aliexpress Kegland store and replace all of your tubing with the 5/16 evabarrier stuff to be honest. Its marvellous - really flexible.

    Acetaldehyde - questions

Acetaldehyde is usually caused by yeast stress I believe - are you pitching enough healthy yeast?

    Robobrew - Can I do 10 litres?

The Robobrew is quite a narrow vessel, so you will get away with a 10l batch volume. The overflow pipe may be too high even at the lowest setting, but I wouldn't worry about that. I don't use my overflow in mine at all now and just plug the hole in the bottom mash plate with a 1/4" BSP bolt.

    Inkbird ITC-100VH

Hi, I use the same PIDs in my control panel. As they are the VH version they are designed to drive an SSR. These can withstand many more operations than a traditional relay, so they are used for PWM. Some PIDs can change the duty cycle of the output and run your elements at a percentage of...

    Condensation in garage

My lo-fi solution is to use a cheap fan placed just behind and above the boiler to blow the steam towards the open garage door. Seems to work fine even with a cheap one like mine - FAN

    Electric Enclosure for Control Panel

Absolutely agree that plastic is very serviceable and useable, my first control box was in a plastic enclosure. My point about durability is what makes me recommend metal now, as the control box is on the wall of my garage it's had it's fair share of knocks and bumps from pot lids, ladders...

    Unthreaded 8g c02 capsules

Here is my Heath Robinson contraption that I knocked up to use loads of the 8g bulbs I had left over from my pressure barrel days. I used it to inject CO2 into my brewzilla when kettle souring. Its an old pressure barrel bulb injector, secured to silicone hose and a fitting, you could use a...

    Electric Enclosure for Control Panel

I think that you really want a metal box for a control panel if you're controlling your elements through it. For heat transfer, durability and you can earth it. Many have an IP rating which is good if it will be in a steamy environment - although this is usually negated by drilling holes into...

    Ade's Brauheld Pro Brewdays

For my pales I usually do 50/50 Maris otter and lager or low colour pale malt. I find this keeps a malty flavour but lightens it up.

Non temp control on "warm" ferment beers...

Do you have any issues pressure fermenting lagers with temp variations over the course of the day / night? Thinking of trying this myself.
