What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Glad he took Mane off they were definitely targeting, either to get him sent off or stretchered off! Couldn't work out the sending off from where I was stood, was it?

Philly sour yeast and pellicules - help

I recently made a Raspberry Hibiscus Berliner Weisse and experienced something similar. I kegged half the batch and bottled the rest, beer came out fine and no adverse effects

    Grain substitutes

http://www.thehomebrewcompany.co.uk/gambrinus-honey-malt-crushed-500g-p-4006.html You can get honey malt delivered from the above. I've used it before as it does get called for in a lot of US NE IPA recipes, which may be what you're trying to replicate? Quite a few here buy grain etc from THBC...

https://www.lallemandbrewing.com/en/continental-europe/product-details/lalbrew-farmhouse/ Lallemand have just released a non-diastatic yeast, not sure if it's made it out into the wild yet but sounds promising

Collaborative Malt Group Buy - September

Thanks OB, I'd be in for a sack of Extra Pale MO plus 3kg of Wheat Malt. I'll put an order in for those and hope that others are interested in a smaller amount of Oat Malt. Thanks

Collaborative Malt Group Buy - September

I'm hoping to take part in this next round of the group buy. Will it be Crisp malts again? Also, how do I express an interest in a 3kg bag of something that isn't yet in the 3kg section? I'm after some Naked Oat Malt but a full sack would last forever so wondered if there was anyone else out...

    My Claim to Fame

Used to go clubbing all over the North West / Midlands during the 90s 🤓 At one stage we often frequented the Moat House Hotel near to Manchester Airport. We used to go for the music but there were ladies far beyond our class looking for a catch. The Utd lads showed every week and it was this...

    Brewzilla boil off rate

I've found that you need to set it slightly above 100c to get to a rolling boil. Depending on the ambient temperature and altitude (I'm in the Peaks), I set it to 104-105 and it boils at 101-102c. I have my boil-off rate set at 3.2 litres in Brewfather and it ends up there or thereabouts

Diastatic power of extra pale maris otter

Maris Otter Extra Pale MO I was only on Crisp's site myself this morning looking for the same information for the same reasons - links above to the two malts in question. According to Crisp the regular MO has a diastatic power of 50 Lintner v 55 Lintner for the Extra Pale. As has been mentioned...

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

First attempt at a DIPA, didn't hit my numbers so weighs in at 7%; Session DIPA 🤔? Tastes great all the same, Nelson / Riwaka / Citra

Adapting recipes from Brewfather - am I doing this right?

I don't know the B40pro intimately but assume that it operates in a similar way to most of the other All-in-One systems; I have a Robobrew 35l. What you have to take into account with all these systems is that there is a void below the malt pipe that isn't always in contact with the grain but...

    Kolsch advice

I recently brewed my first Kolsch using the Lallemand Koln yeast (CML is possibly a rebadged version of this?) It took 2.5 days to get going and I very nearly pitched something else in there myself, I'd say stick with it for a day or so longer 🤞

    Three Floyd's Gumball Head

Based on your initial thread I've got this in my 'to brew' list too. After perusing various recipes this it what I'd come up with: https://share.brewfather.app/eKOm6EtTinXg4n Be good to know how you get on with it

    Transporting Carbed Kegs

Having only just started my keg collection in December they've already multiplied to 4. In the hope that we might be able to holiday at some point this year, I included a Sodastream 9.5l keg kit from BKT in my latest order with a view to taking some homebrew away with us. If all goes to plan...
