Hi H can I just ask you a quick question please when you make pilgrim bitter I notice you use some golden naked oats , do you crush them first or not as I’m using some in a hazy and am not to sure to crush or not to crush.. cheers

Funny enough mate thats what my hazy finished at before Christmas an was gorgeous but I left my for the whole two weeks and then bottled with 96 grams of dextrose to give two volumes , and the carbonation was spot on , so would suggest that you leave yours alone for the full 14 days check again...

Not surprised really new glass ones are now between 14 to sixteen pounds each, fortunately have had my twenty Demi johns for years. Just looked on eBay and spotted a few used ones at a really good price, well better than new ones at least , good hunting 🍷 y

couldnt agree more about beer kits, the thing is now days there so good , a far cry from the old boots kits when I first started and good for quick turnaround and the fact is with a lot of them you just can’t tell that there made from a kit ( muntons hazy ) I just sometimes swap out the yeast...
