    Any experiences with supplier 'ispindel.site'?

I've had an iSpindel since 2021, been pretty happy with it but recently the battery showed signs of giving out (gave up before brew was complete, even after dropping reading frequency right down). So I looked around for am supplier to get a new battery and found https://www.ispindel.site/ -...

Things we all used to do.

Not Columbia House but I did sub to Britannia Record Club, same sort of thing. Get mailed the Record Of The Month plus freebiesafter you bought enough stuff. Also: used a Silent 700 teletype terminal(dial out on the phone then stick the receiver on the rubber cups when you hear the modem...

Shouldn't laugh, and I hope only their pride was damaged, but .. should have gone to 🤐

    I had three feeler guages - too-big, too-little, and that'll-do.

Doom, doom .... Aeroplanes falling out of the sky, traffic lights stuck on red, bank systems crashing, ... actually not altogether a bad thing, considering the way things have gone. Not too optimistic about the robots though.

Aha. Yep - also fails if you are under 23 years old (says you were born in the year 105 instead of 05 etc.) Reminds me of the IT chaos that ensued at the turn of the millenium when computers said the year was 19100 until they got bugfixed.

Very smart - I see what you did there  I *think* it fails if your birthday is between 1 Jan and the day you do this test but I could be wrong

Looking at the state of the flue seal I'd be cautious running it in a closed room withput a CO monitor nearby. Honestly, if he was serious he could have spent a few minutes cleaning it up a bit.

Any self respecting chimpanzee would be most offended to be called a monkey. They'd probably clock you with a crowbar.

I wish our builders had done something like that when they did our roof - it makes the front a lot neater!

Drilling a lid for an airlock grommet

When fitting grommets in other situations I have found a drop of soap liquid helps. Also, when drilling the lid, I would suggest have the lid itself at a cosy room temperature to minimise chance of it cracking.

It’s brown, it’s dry, it’s been dug up by bandicoots, but this Tasmanian garden is a prize winner. Kathleen Murray is the proud victor of the first World’s Ugliest Lawn competition after the Swedish contest, which encourages water-saving and environmentally-friendly gardening, went global. The...

    Little Bottler

Agreed CT, I did find the same as you - if I grounded the tube in the bottle the flow would be less than if it was then raised a touch. But even that 'raised-a-touch' flow was well less than the flow I'd get using the wand with the whole cartridge detached. I do recollect taking one apart and...

    Little Bottler

I have a number of these bottling wands (Little Bottler type). Seemed like the bees knees at first, but after a while I too found that they get slower at delivering the flow. The spring loaded valve in the doohickey at the end of the rigid tube seems to not quite clear the housing that it...

Equipment For Sale FOR SALE new iSpindels - fully build and tested - £25 collected or £30 posted

    1. I assume so? ... I got it through this forum if I recall correctly. The supplier was assetsolution.co.uk; it came fully calibrated. 2. ditto? (the supplier is still in operation) 3. I generally run it until it stops sending, then store it till the next brew and charge it up then. If the brew...

Equipment For Sale FOR SALE new iSpindels - fully build and tested - £25 collected or £30 posted

I'm finding that on my last few brews the battery runs down after a week or less. How long would you expect an iSpindel to be active from a full charge? And do iSpindel batteries have a shelf life? iSpindel was purchased under 2 years ago, October '21.
