Update. Had 2 last night and both grim. Today opened one that was in a 200ml Coke bottle, used for viewing purposes. Absolutely great, carbonated and tastes lovely. I've gone deeper into the 2 crates of Peroni filled bottles to see if they are better. Fingers crossed.

Found some foil backed insulation left over from my camper van conversion. Perfect but not quite as professional as yours DocAnna!

Darn it, I thought my oxidation days were over. This is the first time I used 330ml Peroni bottles. I wonder if they are somehow different to my usual bottles.

Tried a bottle of an Affligem Blonde clone I made a while back (I'd have to check the date) but was disappointed that it was very sherry tasting and the complete lack of carbonation meant it looked like sherry too! Any pointers as to what may have happened?

Great post! I have just bought a cheapo 20 litre electric urn for heating sparge water, rather than using a gas burner. I used it for the first time on Saturday and thought some sort of insulation would help.

Maybe I should persevere with the Kveik Voss (CML). I wonder if I'm overpitching as I've read that it likes to be underpitched. I harvest the yeast from the krausen and keep it in small bottles in the fridge so it's difficult to guess how much I'm pitching. A bit more experimentation I think!

I was trying my Tropical England last night and it's improving all the time. I didn't buy the kit, just the hops and copied the recipe from the CML site. It is a cracking pint!

None of mine have either. Also all took 10 days to finish up, even at 37c. More of less given up with Voss.

Next up is a great American Pale. Chinoock and Cascade hips. I call it Chincade🤣

I know exactly what you mean. I have one mate who generally loved my beers but now I have found the styles I like the most, APAs, IPAs, Belgians etc, so that's what I brew. But his idea of a perfect pint is something like London Pride which I am totally underwhelmed by. He tried a 60 minute IPA...
