    The New Journey

Welcome to the forum! Regarding the CO2, I'm in Carshalton and went with Affordable Gas Supplies (based in Horley but they deliver round here on Wednesdays). Love The Hope, went there when it was a drugs den and great to see its transformation.

    World Cup. (SPOILER)

Thought I'd give it a chance, that lasted until the VAR nonsense for what should have been Ecuador's first goal. It was always going to be an uncomfortable watch, with the corruption and the body count but with the realisation that VAR was involved, that was it. Rich person's football can do...

    Salvaging!

I'd crack on straight away but I've not done this myself so not speaking from experience. It still has fermentables in it, so while the fermentation is going on.

    Salvaging!

Crystal malts don't need mashing so I'd look into steeping the grains, boiling the liquid then adding the result to the fermenter.

    Campaigner Indigo Rumbelow,

While I agree with the (pretty poor) interviewer that the tactics may not be the best, it's refreshing to see someone actually trying to do something about the **** we're in rather than adopt the attitude of the "Great British Public" and whinge a bit while being trodden into the dirt by our...

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

Made with Lallemand's Farmhouse yeast, the one without the diastatic properties normally found in saison yeasts. Pretty good, drier than I'd expected though.

    Bonfire night

For info, Classic FM is playing pet-calming music tonight. Proven to work, apparently.

    Bonfire night

Our local firework display has ditched the bonfire and replaced it with a laser light show, for environmental reasons. Wonder if that explains the 50% price rise.

Was 89p in Asda, think it's 95 now. £1.30 in the Co-op down the road :-(

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

I was in Cork over a decade ago and thoroughly agree with that. Cracking pint.

    Lovely, this. Nice treacly finish.

How would you fix the economy.

The Conservative and Unionist Party tried to do the nuclear thing on the cheap by inviting in the Chinese. And then cancelled it (rightly) because it was a security risk. The question was about fixing the economy rather than the well-being of coffee bean farmers. I do care about that, but of...

How would you fix the economy.

Pretty much what it's come to, as the Conservative and Unionist Party have asset stripped everything else.

How would you fix the economy.

It's going to be very, very expensive. The main priority is to sort out our energy problems. Given that it takes about 10 years to build a nuclear reactor, give the tidal energy industry a bit of love with a few incentives. Give them what they need by taking back control of any suppliers they...
