Has anyone tried the Crisp Malt recipes ?

I've done their Porter which is good (and potent). Also, the Kolsch, which includes Huell Melon and Mandarina Bavaria hops, went down a treat at a summer party recently.

    Any Derry dwellers?

Cheers, she seemed especially interested in the Beamish...

Ulez expanded to include whole of outer London

Both true, but as the ULEZ rollout was a requirement of the government for the covid tfl bailout, time is not available. What I've not seen an explanation for, is why the dirty diesels aren't simply sold in parts of the UK where emissions aren't an issue, such as rural areas? Also, I live in...

Ulez expanded to include whole of outer London

Depends on how you look at it. Removing the worst offending vehicles is only one step to fixing pollution. It wouldn't come as a surprise if there were further measures in the future. Certainly, if a Tory becomes mayor there'll be pay per mile in no time (both Johnson and Sunak are advocates).

Ulez expanded to include whole of outer London

As the mayor pointed out, if it was a cash grab he'd merely have extended the congestion charge with no scrappage scheme (as suggested by Grant Schapps) and just raked it in for evermore. In a few years' time, the polluting vehicles will be off the road and the income from the ULEZ charge will...

    Any Derry dwellers?

My daughter's off to a wedding in Northern Ireland in a few days and is staying in Derry. She's booked an extra day for a look around. Any recommendations? Decent hostelries, feeding places, unmissable local sites? I understand there are city walls, are they worth walking around? TIA...

    What the hell! Not leffe!?!

Has anyone tried a recent bottle of Leffe Brun? Saw a bottle in the supermarket with an ABV of 6.5, as it always was (next to the adulterated Blonde), so hoping it's still ok...

Comes over like a Tory's desperate search for equivalence when there isn't any.

Cheers... I had no idea this place existed. It's half an hour on the train for me. Will be using the shop for my essentials from now on at least.

Don't believe so, people (me included, so no criticism) are disinclined to get involved in running things these days. Shifting work/life balance and all that. I'm in Carshalton and visit the Radius Arms about once a month on a Saturday before a Whyteleafe game. Great place.

    Cash or card

As a tradesman who I offered to pay in cash said, "Card please. Gotta put something through the account at some point".

What are you doing about the mash? Single step, 67C?

    What the hell! Not leffe!?!

JD Wetherspoon, I think. Might be an idea to trawl your local shops and buy up the good stuff. Should have a decent shelf life at 6.6%.
