What's your fave beer glass shape?

Didn't know it was called a skiff, so that's good to know. Have you seen a Kwak glass? It's apparently designed so that the last bit tastes as good as the first bit. I'll post a pic when I've found one

What's your fave beer glass shape?

As a man with a big nose, this looks a good plan. I can't really use champagne flutes unless I'm lying on my back

What's your fave beer glass shape?

Very cool, although a little precarious looking on the chair arm there. I'd build a holder

What's your fave beer glass shape?

Nice tankard, and the Stella glass looks very inviting. I had a good tankard, it started to leak sadly so it now is on my desk with pens in. Nice cat

What's your fave beer glass shape?

I used to have an old school Isle of Man pint glass. All the pint glasses on the island used to have the three legs of Man etched into the bottom in white, I had it for years but broke it years ago. 20 years ago! It came from a time when plastic pint glasses weren't a thing. I must Google to...

What's your fave beer glass shape?

this is a stein I got from Lidl... I've got a few, they hold a litre! And they came with a litre can of German beer that I didn't think much of, but really I got them for the glasses! I think I've used one once!

What's your fave beer glass shape?

Very good; I like the Erdinger glass that looks great. I don't think it makes anyone 'one of those fannies'! I think you've got exactly the right idea, (when I think about it I do it with wine - using probably the wrong glass but it works for me) and so what I've learned from your post is that...

What's your fave beer glass shape?

Very nice. There is a beer I've never tried too

What's your fave beer glass shape?

mine is this Nonic shape. Perhaps because it's the pint glass of the pubs in my youth. What does everyone else use? Do you always drink pints?

First AG brew in the FV

This was a liquid yeast- Escarpment English ale 1. Although yes it is packed in foil, hopefully that helped. That makes me feel very lucky! Off to buy a lottery ticket now

First AG brew in the FV

The day before yesterday was awesome. I brewed 4kg pale ale malt, 500g wheat malt and some cascade and bobek hops. I didn't have all of the stuff I ordered so I had the odd workaround but it's now in the FV and bubbling away. If the beer it makes tastes even 10pc as good as that wort...

    Will it work?

Awesome thanks everyone. I've got pale malt now and, as soon as I have a connecting pipe for my massive propane stove from the plumb centre, can start brewing. I definitely agree with the idea that a constant temperature might be key; I live in a very old house, and the oldest part of it is...

    Will it work?

Thanks MickDundee. I'll order some for the next brew, along with some pale ale malt, whilst I try the above. Is Mangrove Jack's powdered? Thanks everyone for your help. I'm really looking forward to using the new kit and it's kind of a shame there's 6 weeks waiting, but I suppose that's the...

    Will it work?

Ah that was an error! Thank you all for pointing that out. Yes I'll order pale ale malt, stick with the yeast I've got and hope for awesomeness. Thanks for the advice, I might save the wheat for a second experimental brew to mix at a sensible ratio. I think I may have ordered in error, the...

    Will it work?

I have spent a whopping £23* on brewing equipment and basically everything I need including some ingredients at the Malt Miller. I have, in the hope of creating a first brew, ordered the following: 6 kg crisp pale wheat malt 200g cascade t90 pellets Escarpment English ale yeast So will it...

Awesome. This is slowly coming together. Thanks peeps

    Equipment questions

Thanks both. Buffers brewery, that is exactly, word for word, my plan. I'm thinking of building a wooden three tier system of gravity feeding to negate the pump though. Hoping my tun arrives today. Disproportionately excited about it

    Equipment questions

So I've ordered and am waiting for a big insulated mash tun. It's got a tap and a false bottom mesh. Obviously I need a HLT as well as a kettle, so my question is this: can I use a boil kettle with a tap as a HLT and then use the same piece of kit to do the boil? I'm thinking on a big gas...

    Hello

It's a great place for a blast. I have a loop of Exmoor I do quite regularly, fab route, amazing views. Really nice to do other routes too but equally great to see the trees and the landscape change with the seasons. But perhaps not the snow! I give deepest winter a miss

    Hello

I love the WSR, it's a rare find. Is it expensive? And I suppose you can only go to Bishop's Lydeard?
