How do people use this?
The first time I used a cut of water bottle as a funnel but too big and lost a quite few outside the FV
The second time i used an actual funnel but it kept clogging up. In fact it took so long I think I would have had less oxygen ingress just taking the lid and...
How did this turn out? Was looking at this myself but was going to maybe scale it down to 5.5%. Either that or maybe go for a less strong alternative like Level up red ale or Yakima red clone
anyone tried any of these from MM
Akis fancy a go at the siren soundwave
Had a couple of this last night. on the smooth side but Very nice!
i also had a couple of the orange pale ales. i used to love those, but they sort of went dodgy about 6 months ago. Lots of gushers and a few tasting cidery. So have been giving them a swerve.
I saw they actually moved them to...
For some reason my last 3 o 4 dark ambers have come out much more drier than usual. ive gradually been ramping up mash temp from 65 to around 68/69 to no effect . ive used US 05 a couple of times and also liberty bell. the recipes l based around Cwtch, 5am saint and slot machine. At a bit of...
I’ve tended recently to always use a start per when using liquid yeast but as I’m out of dry malt and short on time I’d not this time.

Cheers, think I saw that but hadn’t have heared of them before.
Anyone used them?
I also wondered why none of the main ones carried it As It would be easier to add it to a big order, As the agent says maybe biscuit is near enough same thing
None of my regular go to suppliers seem to stock it. I know it’s a briess product and probably just their version of a uk/continental malt like biscuit or aromatic but from reading around there does seem to be a certain uniqueness with it in terms of contributing a nuttiness.
Can anyone...
One thing I noticed on my scores is the judges noted they couldn’t drink a pint of it which is quite harsh given it’s in the low 30s.
Personally with that beer i feel it’s after the second or third pint it really shines!😁
Same here, lowest scorer was IPA but had very little feedback Other than not bitter enough whereas my highest scorer american amber ale ( maybe should have been red ipa ) had lots of useful feedback.
