    Snub nose PRV leaking.

Yeah you really have to screw them down. Dry hop port that it. I I haven’t done a pressure Ferment yet, as it’s the closed transfer I’m most interested in, but that helped.

    Brewuk website "down for maintenance"

im unsure which disks to go for, id rather have the same size as originals, but from the bac site.. The filter disc with 0.9 holes is slightly smaller than the original. The filter disk with 1.5 holes is slightly larger than the original Both those statements can be true. If 0.9 is slightly...

What are you drinking tonight 2023.

Having a quick beer, well a couple before I clean up the brew day. Stark IPA from Hopfully. NEIPA isn’t a favorite style but I’m liking this one.

What are you drinking tonight 2023.

A couple of M&S vocation beers use this combo but not sure of ratio. I went for 50/50 in trying to clone, as that the ratio in the Greg Hughes IPA recipe but I expect its worth playing around with.

    What did you brew today?

Either an APA, an American amber/red or an American brown. The jury is out. We will know more in six weeks.

    Name the Malt

I’m taking it as a sign from above to invest in a grain mill and start milling my own!

    Name the Malt

Done it loads of times, been fine before. They have definitely fecked up the crystal I think. Thing is I’ve got about 300g of hops and a smacked pack of wyeast ready to throw at this. Thinking of dialling the hop back. It going to be a bit random.

    Name the Malt

Thing is the wort is mud brown. 5% Crystal 150 doesn’t do that!

    Name the Malt

I am brewing an all grain custom kit today, an American pale with the only crystal malt being a bit of crisp 150. However on mashing in I noticed a fair few very dark grains that taste of burnt toast, so name that malt. Maybe Crytal 150 is darker than i remember.

Dry hop port on Apollo snub nose

I’m coming to the same conclusion, It does seem a bit pointless. I’ve sen the hop bong too but that going in the othe direction! I’m looking for a low hassle dry hop proses but thought the snub 3/Apollo was supposed to be that! Maybe there is a good funnel out there that does block?

cold crash and dry hop bitterness

So drop to 12c, dry just 24 hours then cold crash to about 4c, how long st 4c? Might try 2 days at 12 and 1 day at 3c, or I might not cold crash at all and dry hop at about 15c for 3 days.
