    NEIPA grain bill

Aye. That's what I'd do. Flameout, then hop stand at 75-80. IBU calculators are bull****. You'll extract bitterness any time the hops are in the wort above about 86C. I'd like to hear how you get on this time!

Wheat Beer over powering clove taste

You've fermented that quite low in temp. I would have been pushing it to 24C min. How much did you pitch? If you have overpitched (and fermented too cold) you will have encouraged phenols (i.e. clove) and likely suppressed almost all esters (e.g. banana). The clove will likely mellow out a...

    NEIPA grain bill

It really depends what you're going for. What you have there will help with the haze but won't really have a huge amount of body or sweetness. If you are using unmalted wheat you can drop the caramalt as you'll get plenty of head retention from it. If malted wheat leave it in. I would sack off...

    Infection and how to remove

Yes you can, for short periods of time. No longer than 4 hours. It's only dangerous if you drink it or inhale the vapours up close. But it's your call if you think you'll be unable to keep you're wee one away from it.

    Hefeweizen yeast

Banana is an ester, clove is a phenol. Under pitch for esters, over pitch for phenols. I recently brewed a banana forward wheat beer and it turned out a banana bomb. Here's how I did it: Pitched at 20C and let rise naturally to 23.5C and held it there for remainder of fermentation. Under...

    Infection and how to remove

I would use caustic soda (strong alkali) first, rinse 3X with fresh water. Then use fresh chem/star San (mild acid). Don't just spray down the containers, fill them completely. Soak everything you think might be infected in each solution. Leave for a couple of hours. Make sure every seal gets...

    Commercial beer small keg

Only time I've ever worked with them are in the form of 10L (even 5L) keykegs. But those are generally only used for super super fancy really expensive spontaneous fermentation or imperials. Mikkeller and Omnipollo spring to mind...

    Commercial beer small keg

The smallest you'll get that in will probably be 30L, more likely 50L to be honest. Why don't you try brewing a German or Czech lager yourself instead? You'll save a lot of money on that one!

    Sodastream gas for serving

I use soda streams for dispensing. About 1/2 a canister will dispense 1x 19L corny. Regarding connection to adaptor - you will find there is a washer with it. If it is the soft type (usually black) place it on the end of the cylinder before connection, rather than in the adaptor as if you do...

    Blow Off Tubes

I use a bit of 3/8" beer line straight into the gasket which is there for the airlock. It's not the most flexible thing in the world, so you might need a bit longer piece

Help with angram beer engine problem

It's only really the diaphragm or the demand valve that can be at fault. When you say you have a demand valve, do you mean something like this, fitted externally?

Prime to about 1.2-1.4 vol CO2. use this calculator: Beer Priming Sugar Calculator | Brewer's Friend to work out how much sugar that means for you.

Equipment Wanted 3 x Kettle elements with IEC fittings

Hi guys, Getting kinda sick of repairing my kettle elements which I tore from £5 kettles. Looking to see if anyone has some old 2.4kW elements they're willing to sell on the cheap which already have IEC connections on them? I know I can get them new but £30 each or thereabouts is taking the...

Equipment For Sale Stainless carbonation caps

Hiya! Interested in maybe one of these? Got plenty of o-rings so shouldn't be a problem. Question about using these - how long do you leave the bottles on the gas with these? is it a 1 bottle left for days situation, or blast inject CO2 into each and you can do a whole batch in a few hours?

    Run out of gas

Yeah it'll be fine. I would disconnect the beer and gas lines / remove the coupler, and obviously don't try to pour any
