Please help - Augustiner Helles clone with WLP860

It's going to be pretty slow at 10C but it's still going... I would be tempted to hold it at that and forget about it for a couple of weeks.

    Making vinegar

My Mrs makes vinegar from fermenting second run-offs or squeezing the bag of fruit after fermentation, wine or cider... and its bloody amazing. It's actually really simple... The main thing is to aim for an ABV of about 9% for your starting liquid we use clean vodka to top it up if needed. Fill...

Yo! I have this exact fridge, and it fits the Brew2Bottle standard 25L fermentation bin with an airlock almost perfectly. If you use a blow off tube then plenty of room... https://brew2bottle.co.uk/collections/25ltr-fermenter-bundles

    Disappointing efficiency

My recent experience with this has been that grain crush size makes an unbelievable difference. I don't have a mill (yet), and until recently was buying my grain pretty much entirely from Get Er Brewed. With their grains I was getting 50-55% efficiency, which I think is pretty poor. Recently I...

    PT100 Advice

Hi guys, Looking for an inexpensive PT100 thermocouple which is short enough to be mounted directly into a stainless steel tee on the inlet to the mash tun for my HERMS system. Ideally either a 3/8" or 1/4" of BSP thread. Struggling to find what I'm after, wonder if anyone has any suggestions?

    Stainless steel pipe cutting

Bought this little guy from Screwfix for £2.99. No issues at all, sliced right through on a few rotations. Did about 8 cuts including test cuts and it was a perfect clean cut every time. Bargain!

    Stainless steel pipe cutting

Hi all, I'm making a HLT/HERMS tank, and I have a stainless steel wort chiller which I am fitting into the ot as a HERMS coil. I need to cut a couple of points on the pipe to make it fit the pot. I don't have an angle grinder. Does anybody have a suggestion of how to do this, neatly, or a shop...

Belgian Beer - Recipe check and advice

I like to do many more steps on my mash for Belgian style beers. I love a decoction but an infusion step is also fine. I'd do 42, 52, 64, 70 with mash out/sparge at 76/77. I'd also probably sack off the biscuit malt completely and scale down the aromatic. My 2 cents

Hi guys, Looking for anyone selling or with knowledge of a reasonably priced stainless steel stock pot 30-50L. New or used, with or without fittings, looking for it to build my HLT/HERMS system into. The usual go to good value places are out of stock and I feel like £70+ is a lot for such a...
