I lost my rag with the plastic one when it bent trying to stir a mash. I bought the metal Padle type and I'm really pleased with it.

You could try filling the syphon first with a starsan mix.then adding carefully to the fv. Then release the starsan untill the beer runs through. At least your syphon isnt in the fv when your priming it.

i have a 20ltr pot i use to make soup and chlli in. as long as its cleaned properly theres no issues.
