    wow guys,thank you for do many replies, ill try and answer all the questions but i think the best solution is to take up an offer of a taste session from covrich, ive looked through one of my books that has a problem guide, and alot of the descriptions overlap taste wise...

    i used tap water to start with but as i had issues with my beer i changed to tescos bottled , couldnt taste the difference

    so ive been breweing for little over 2 years, it appears that i have all the gear and no idea. ive thrown away more than i have drank, ive made numerous beers and one was ok, irish red, the others are disgusting, one i think burned on the element as it tastes, well burned, earthy and muddy...

    if you followed bf calcs then you should be fine, unless you have other issues like bottle caps but that would effect one or two, not all

    i can understand people getting heated in a forum, but if i dont like what someone is saying, i ignore them, i dont like folk leaving on any terms, were all here to contribute and support each other in our "Hobby" im sorry to see you leave, :-(

    I think. Cut one end off and pull the rubber tube out. Then crimp the cut end.
