One day I WILL get this photo lark right!! My take on a Landlord clone. First pint out of the keg, lovely pint, very, very moreish. Defo brew this again.

What are you brewing for Christmas

A Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Mild clone. Came in at 6.2%. Cheeky sample tasted good, going to leave it to condition now, trying not to touch it too early.

First go at a picture, will improve. My take on a Hobgoblin type, although my son reckons it tastes very similar to Rebellions Roasted Nuts. Either way it's pretty nice at 5.2%.

I would be interested in joining in for some malts in Feb. Living in N Shropshire (just outside Whitchurch) and would be happy to be a collection/distribution point. Just need to work out what I need/want/must have. wink...

    Lakeland breweries

Just got back from a few days in the Lakes. Visited Hawkshead Brewery (no tours unfortunately) a good selection of beers in the brewery shop (better prices than in local shops as well). The Porter was very nice. They also have beers on tap as well.

    S-04 under-attenuating for dark beers

Just kegged a Hobgoblin style using S-04. SG 1.049, FG 1.009. Attenuation approx 81% (figures from Brewfather) A landlord clone brewed a while back gave an apparent attenuation of 81.3%. Fermentation temps were a fairly steady 19.5*C

    Pressure barrel CO2 usage

My last 2 brews in King Keg PB's, primed with 80g of sugar and only needed 1 8g bulb. Was still coming out well as the barrels emptied.
