    Barreling

All joking apart, more info is needed. When did you bottle? how much sugar? Did you keep it somewhere warm to carb up before moving to a cool place to condition.

    Dodgy phone call/Identity fraud

I had the NI one yesterday, I pressed 1 and decided to play along for a bit. Got through to 'Kevin' who started burbling on about my NI number being compromised. I said that was interesting and did he realise that he had come through to a number in the Intelligence Services. It all went very...

How many litres of home brew have you made 2021.

23L of Hazlewood Brewery Best Bitter. Total 5,253
  4. Rogerh

    What did you brew today?

23L of @Hazelwood Brewery Best Bitter. It was only when sorting the malts that I realised that I had Bohemian Pilsner, not plain Pilsner malt. Don't know how much of a difference that may make. Hit all my numbers, and it should come out at about 5%.

I think this sums it up...

Nice of Monica Lewinski to lend her that dress :laugh8:

Replacement Rubber Overflow Pipe Cover for Brewzilla 35l

A bit of tinfoil over the top works as well.

Newbie, Geordie bitter stuck at 110g after 7 days

1.005 is low, your brew could well be a bit dry (as @the baron says) Check it again in a day or two, and if still at 1.010 go for it. I'm sure it will be good.

Newbie, Geordie bitter stuck at 110g after 7 days

When you say 110 gravity, do you mean 1.010? Have another look at your hydrometer. The correct reading should be in the 1.0xx scale.

    Hazelwood Brewday

I've had an eye-brain interface malfunction. It's actually giving 4.9%. :coat:

    Hazelwood Brewday

Looking forward to doing it, not for another couple of weeks though (kegs/PB's tied up at the mo) Yes I do use an AIO, higher ABV (Brewfather gives 5.9%), , we all have a cross to bear :laugh8: I have been looking for a 'Best Bitter' to try for a while, always liked the look of your recipes...

Covid the *** and the final stage.

Was expecting to be called next month (66) but both myself and OH got a text last night from our Dr's, booked in for next Tuesday. 👍

    Hazelwood Brewday

Going to have a go at your Best Bitter as it sounds really nice, all ingredients ordered. Any tips on this one? or just brew as normal.:beer1:

Using old 5L kegs to keg home brew

Apparently they can develop a metallic taste after a few uses, @terrym has commented on this a few times. This video is a handy guide.

    Geterbrewed?

I phrased that badly, by queries, I just meant general questions about equipment etc.

    Geterbrewed?

I get a lot of my stuff from @Get_Er_Brewed and have always had great service from them. Quick at answering any queries as well.

    Geterbrewed?

That's changed. Wanted some Amarillo pellets, now £5.80 (CML) £5.65+D (GEB) Still a good price though.

    C02 nightmare

I know these things happen, but a 'sorry mate' or similar wouldn't have hurt. At least you didn't have a dry weekend, nightmare.

How many litres of home brew have you made 2021.

Just a small request, when you post your brews, can you update the total please, we are about 90 odd litres short.
