    Fury Tea's brewdays

The KNEIPAV is pretty damn good. 8 days since I brewed it and I absolutely could've shaved a few days off that if I'd have been quicker off the mark with dry hopping and then kegging. Going to have to be careful with this one because it's 7.3% but tastes like mango juice and sunshine. Sticking...

    Banana wine

I stick mostly to beer and cider these days because I hate waiting 50 weeks to find out it tastes like crap haha. I'll just age it for another year and see what happens haha

    Banana wine

Good luck with it! I tried my summer fruits mead recently and after a year in the bottle it tastes quite a lot like floor cleaner 😭

    Banana wine

That stuff is potent! Have you tried it before? I had some (it was a different supplier) and 1 teaspoon in a curry was enough to make my mum cry.

    WANTED Corny Setup

Re: gas, what most people do is put a deposit down for a gas bottle, then pay to get it refilled. Mine was £50 plus 15 quid per refill. That would last me about a year at medium personsl usage.

    Hop Dates

All that for 200? Is it nicked??? Pulcino rover 10 looks to be some kind of wine filter

    Extract vs AG (Savings)

If you are after cheap booze, Lagers (or pseudos) can turn out really cheap if you reuse the yeast as @Drunkula says. If you have temp control, that's great but just fermenting somewhere cool and brewing in the winter good enough too, at first. 20-50g hops and 1 grain, maybe throw some carapils...

    Harvesting yeast from NEIPA

I put 250g in the whirlpool and 250g in the dry hop for what was a 19L batch. I've lost around 4L (that's a 5L demijohn)

    Harvesting yeast from NEIPA

So I recently brewed an NEIPA with Kveik, I was wondering if there's any kind of technique for harvesting the yeast when it's mixed with so much hops? I've transferred what was left in the fermenter into a demijohn and stuck that in the fridge for now. It's almost 4L of beer, yeast, trub and a...

Jan 21 Malt Group Buy - Time to Order

    Failed Jam wine experiment

Yeast can"t eat sugar and produce nothing. That's not how this works. I make cider and ginger ale with fruit juice and sugar. It takes 2-3 days to produce some pretty potent alcohol, then I leave it to clear for a couple of weeks. Something has gone seriously wrong here, and I wouldn't waste...

    Grain mill drill

My tool shed is at the bottom of the garden and my garage is at the front of the house so after thinking about it I really wanted a dedicated drill for it. Ended up getting this: Might try something like @Coffin Dodger suggests or might take the motor out and mount it, depending on how...

Conditioning hop bitterness out of bottled beer

There's no way anyone could answer this. Try it in 2 weeks, if it's not to your liking try it again in another 2 weeks. If you're as impatient as me you'll try 1 or 2 bottles every couple of days until the last bottle, which you will taste and realise it is finally ready.

    Grain mill drill

I don't really have that problem with wet grain after wet conditioning. Are you doing 2% water? I was thinking something along the lines of the pictures above. I have a baby so the lockable one might actually be clever future proofing... Don't want fingers or mummy's phone to end up in there...

    Grain mill drill

I want a permanent solution so I don't have to mess about attaching the drill every time. I was thinking I might find a way to mount it (or just the motor). Could be a cool project.

    Grain mill drill

I'm using a Robobrew, prone to stuck/super slow sparges, channelling and all the efficiency issues related to that. I had success with grain husks but it's quite expensive when you can get it free from tne husk itself. Now I wet condition and put through the grain mill as slow as possible but...
