Exactly what I did. Spent about £35 I think with the pipe and fittings took 20 mins.

Food-safe waterproof digital temp sensors (DS18B20)

Zelijko, the dev of the nautilis ispindel relay (and some other cool stuff) has developed an ESP32 based solution for controlling heating and cooling via SSR. This is the current version, but he is in the middle of expanding the features and capabilities and I expect will release the next...

You have a couple of choices.. - A wifi extender that can connect to your weak signal and boost it. - A wifi router that you can cable into your current network and provide a new wifi access point (old bt hubs are good for this) - Power line adapters with wifi, if you have a decent power...

There is a formula built into the firmware, but its accuracy will really depend on the build. Battery weight, for example, can vary hugely.

Great... I've sent the calibration formula over that I use for that battery. 👍

I'd do the 90deg on a spirit level tested flat. Then ping me a photo of it via messages so I can see what the battery is. I'll then send over the calibration formula that should line up with that build. I wouldn't worry too much about the vertical message as you're never anywhere near that when...

Where did you get it, and is it calibrated? Was it one of mine?

I bought a coarser bazooka that worked really well, and could see why you might want a screen above or below to protect the pump. I was tempted to just buy some stainless mesh from Ali Express and make one..

Hop Bongs - Are they worth it?

Just a shame the All Rounder 2" kit never seem to be in stock at BKT!

I have been looking on Ali, and its not actually much cheaper on there by the time you add postage.

    Dry Hopping AG Italian Pilsner

Thanks. The kit includes the hops in a tea bag - so I'll just chuck that in. Interesting that you say to then remove them. I usually just loose hop so can't do that unless I use a bag! Assume thats to avoid grassy flavours developing if they're in there too long? I have a DIY hop bong on the...

    Dry Hopping AG Italian Pilsner

My first AG brew is ticking away nicely in the All Rounder at 14C in the ferm fridge. I'm down from 1.045 to 1.022 in 3 days at ~10psi. I have 75g of Ella hops to add as a dry hop. The GetErBrewed instruction sheet say to do this once below 1.020, and to dry hop for 2-3 days before kegging...

My (almost!) first AG brew day...

If you have a Home Assistant setup already then its very powerful and you get some nice charts and control. You can access this remotely using Nabu Casa Set up is quite easy once you know how! If you go down that road, drop me a DM and I'll happily share further details, or we can do it on an...

My (almost!) first AG brew day...

Cool - have fun! I used to just control a heat pad and that worked well for a 23L batch bucket; but it also works well for a tube heater / fridge. You then just need two sets of triggers and another smart plug, but it means you can easily cold crash etc.

My (almost!) first AG brew day...

I do exactly that. Here's my dashboard... The main graph is from my brew fridge, I also have a nautilis temp sensor in the serving fridge. The ispindel and nautilis send data to Home Assistant using MQTT. The dials allow me to control heating and cooling in the ferm fridge, and cooling in the...
