    Klarstein Mundschenk

Ah, OK, makes sense. It'll be interesting to see how much it traps. Does the whirlpool arm still fit with this in place? I've got a plate chiller on the way, and ideally want to use the pump to empty via that. I'm keen to find a way to filter the outcoming wort so that doesn't just block...

Even if it's not sealed round the edge, it'll be far better than it not being there at all. You could also use some beer like sliced open. That would be good safe I guess. Stupid question, it what are the m5 used for?!

    Equipment For Sale ispindels

Hi All I've been building and selling ispindels since lockdown, and continue to do so. I mainly sell via ebay (gingerneil), but as I started out on this very forum, I am more than happy to offer a discount to anyone coming direct through here. I CALIBRATE them in batches, so they are pretty...

    Keg washer with 15mm pipe?

I went with 22mm! A few photos attached, but seems to work well. The spinning head seems a little reluctant to spin now and then - likely down to crud stuck in the jet holes. Chemsan foamed to the point where there wasn't enough liquid for the pump after about 5 mins! Did a round with oxy...

    Keg washer with 15mm pipe?

Looking at building a keg washer using a 400w pump I have handy. Many guides seem to use 22mm pipe, but the cost of the bits in screwfix etc is significantly higher. Would 15mm make that much difference? I'm even thinking that the water pressure will be higher through the narrower pipe, so maybe...

    Ispindel Battery Life

There's only so far you can go to check what's causing the issue. I swapped out the main control board, but that didnt solve it. I've never had a battery issue caused by the gyro, so that's interesting.. it becomes cheaper (time and effort wise anyway) to just replace the whole thing!

There will be small gaps between the lid etc to allow some of the signal to escape. The antenna needs to be designed for the correct wavelength, so unlikely attaching to the antenna will help.

Some builders remove the led, but I find it useful to see the device is, powered on. The current drain is proper tiny, and it'll have negligible impact on battery.

    Klarstein Mundschenk camlock type?

Thanks. After doing more reading and banging my head a bit, I have realised that the 'type' refers to what's on the other side of the connection - not to the camlock itself! I was thinking there were types of actual camlock!

    Klarstein Mundschenk camlock type?

Looking at something like this so that I can connect some silicon tubing to the camlock on my Klarstein Mundschenk and use the pump for for washing down the sides when cleaning (and maybe even moving to the FV - but yes, need to be aware of blocking the pump if doing this!). I have no idea what...

    Ispindel Battery Life

Its not public and isnt an open source license in the same way that the ispindel firmware is. Details are on the Nautilis Smart Systems – Smart electronics, sensors and devices in the home and home brewing website - you could try contacting the developer?

I also to the nautilis wifi relay and display for the ispindels.. Bridges wifi to your chosen app, and also shows the ispindel data on a cool little full colour display. 👌

    Ispindel Battery Life

You sometimes get the odd spurious reading as it dies. I don't sell the batteries by themselves. You can buy them at a few decent and trustworthy online shops - fogstar is where I get mine. Be very careful buying off amazon etc as there are loads of dodgy batteries around. You also need to d...

    Ispindel Battery Life

Hi There is battery protection built into my ispindels. The device will shut down and not power on when the voltage drops to 3.3v. This protects it from fully discharging and causing issues. I would advice to recharge it when you have finished a brew though - to keep it above this low level if...

Adnams Ease Up Recipe - conversion to 23L

Good morning all. I sent a speculative email to Adnams recently, asking if they would mind sharing their Ease Up recipe.. well.. this turned up in my email this morning! I have tried to scale this down to a 23L batch size, based on a total grain bill of 5kg. I have then gone through the...

Mashing at 96C by mistake!! HELP!

I did taste it. It was sweet, and I'm sure I'd have made something.. But the taste test of the replacement today was far nicer!
