It's a shame that the thread was conducted so well before and has now descended into this. Guess it's indicative of how societies discourse goes these days though. Far too often, people get a free pass to just blurt their opinions into an arguement which they present as fact, and refuse to...

    Brewnaldos brewday

A non eventful brewday which was waxed by 1145. Peat smoked malt was used at 100g for the batch. First impressions are that it's barely, if at all perceptible in the wort. Let's see though... It might be getting dominated by sweetness atm. If not, then I guess we double it next time.

    Brewnaldos brewday

Brewday tomorrow, measured out salt additions and will fill the boiler later to be heated for morning time. Very glad to have read up today on the difference between smoked malt and malt smoked with peat. My plan to use a kilo of it has subsequently been revised downwards considerably, to...

We are talking a textbook style of beer, but with a non standard twist to...

    Brewnaldos brewday

New wee experiment coming up for me in the coming days.... I have ordered grain, a small dosage of hops, and some CML Gretel yeast for a Weissbier, however.... I also have some peat smoked malt which was designated for another project that has somewhat fallen by the wayside. So a slightly smoky...

This is pure, undiluted tory, which, incidentally is absolute failing the UK and fuelling the independence movement at the minute.

By taxes, revenue and borrowing, presumably. Like every single other country. I still have the question, why is Scotland uniquely positioned to be unable to function as a country in its own right?

Exactly. Often they don't. We don't however, use that as a reason why we should no longer have General Elections.

How can you vote at a General Election when you don't know howbthe next 4 to 5 years are going to pan out?..... Well thats easy, using the same thought process as we use for all our decisions where we can't see the future. We have a right good think about it and then put our X in the box...

How do other comparably sized/populated countries manage? Particularly those who don't have the resources that Scotland has? Why is Scotland uniquely set up as a small country that cannot possibly function on its own?
