    Wilko artisan classic lager

Nice - sure it will be a good one! I have been impressed with every kit I brewed, especially the wilko ones.

Stephen Barclay challenged on ambulance delays

Is crazy - my son had to go to hospital in an ambulance the other day (he was ok in the end) and we were so lucky we have a separate children's a&e queue - which was very short. The driver stated the normal a&e ambulance queue was up to 17 hours at its worst. Really hope we can see a properly...

    more should do this

It is disgusting what the have been able to get away with, right across the UK. I guess Charlie's Green agenda might help of of this but I'm not holding my breath. As someone who is in the sea as much as I can be, knowing that I'm not swimming in cr@p is pretty important to me!

    New GEB Yeast

Which vacuum sealer and bags do you recommend? It is in my list of things to buy, but so far many other things have trumped it!

    Wilko artisan classic lager

If you can ferment cold (or under pressure) then Id certainly swap out the yeast for a proper lager yeast. If it is a room temp brew it will almost def be some sort of ale yeast. That said my first couple of wilko lagers were OK. What did you do in the end? What is your fermentation set up like?

    Nerdy stuff

In the summer my wheelie bin is full of maggots, never was when we lived in London. My wife claims there are more flies here, which being by the sea I found quite confusing at first, but def 'worse' here than it was in London. Still, it is good for the swifts!

Looking for a how to guide for the Klarstein system

Thanks again to Horners for your detailed description above, I still refer back to it from time to time. The key note for me is keeping that boil plate totally clean - I use the spirit vinegar each time (also good for cleaning the outside of it too!) 35p a bottle at tesco. I love my Klarstein...

    Elder flower champagne

I really need to make some again, not sure what recipe I used before but it was so dry. I gave it to a nephew who wolfed it down, but I wasn't a fan.

    1st ever brew.

Great to hear! I had so much fun brewing (and tweaking) kits - a great way to make good beer. What do you have brewing now? What sort of thing will you brew next?

    Bottle washing hacks

Move to corny kegs, made my life so much easier - love it - washing once every 35 pints is simple compared to bottling.
