    Easy Keg how good

I have been looking for options to do just that. Conclusion I've come to is it's probably best suited to burst carbonating or to top up headspace during dispensing, rather than as a long term connector. There are "no loss" Schrader chucks available that screw on to the valve and actuated by...

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

I have put this off for too long. @Leon103 pulled out a bottle of @dave_77 American Brown earlier. So I had to do it. A slight hiss when opening the bottle, so a careful pour to ensure all the fizz didn't disappear in the head. My ability to recognise smells needs some practice, though I'm...

    Easy Keg how good

I use (reuse) commercially packaged mini kegs occasionally. Only for taking beer away with me on holiday or to a family event. I wouldn't choose to package beer in them regularly as a personal storage solution. As has been mentioned by others they do foam a bit if you over carbonate. I find 11g...

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

The thought had crossed my mind. Though I have a cunning plan... I've been brewing 24l batches recently, 19l for the corny, with a convenient 5l left over ;) 3x mini kegs filled, conditioned, and ready to stash under the seats. Well done me! clapa

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

As it's Friday and it's been one of those days, I'm working my way along the bar in ½ pints to start. Up to Black Sheep so far I'll get round to improving appearance of the scratty second hand freezer sometime :coat:

    Pilsner malt

Pilsner and Vienna. Did the trick for me in AIPA. Just remember if using Pilsner it will be slightly lighter than other pale malts like Maris It.

    This can’t be right

Fermenting most yeast at higher temperatures will result in a faster fermentation. With most yeast you don't want the resulting esters and phenols, but you do with a Saison so that's ok. The risk of going high at initial pitch could be getting fusel alcohols in there that you don't want...

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

To clarify, I think as a nation we probably invite a lot of this anti-english sentiment on ourselves. I cringe when the leaders of our country do all this "Make Britain great again" nonsense and ram it in the face of other nations. When I say we deserve it, that's what I meant.

    Euro 2020, who's watching?

There's always an element of luck one way or another, referee misses something small or sees something that wasn't, can change the course of the game from anywhere in the pitch. Football is a game for play actors these days and the rules back that up. England could have been punished more from...

    Euro 2020, who's watching?

Denmark certainly put up a valiant fight. Not enough shots, ran out of steam. They were good to watch.

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Time to put things right. I knew I shouldn't have gone for an APA in the first half. Black sheep - English bitter
