which hop combination should i use?

Personally I would dry hop first batch with option B. Then judge the result before deciding what to do with the rest.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Just having my last 660ml bottle of Birra Moretti (unfiltered) Tesco club card 3 for £6 . Not my favourite lager but noticeably different to regular Moretti. Definitely more hop aroma and flavour. And a lot better than this YouTube review 😂

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

My first all-grain stout, (many years ago) was fermented with yeast harvested from Guinness original bottle conditioned.

    Pressure Barrel for lager?

That looks like something I would have tried back in the day.

    Pressurised Fermentation practical use

All rounder has plastic threads so ideally use the kegland plastic ball lock posts.

    Pressurised Fermentation practical use

The thermowell is great for monitoring temperature. But by experimenting with keglands Rapt hydrometer I have found it is better to stick the inkbird or similar control sensor to the outside of the fermenter for better control of temperature. If you use the control sensor in thermowell you will...

    Pressurised Fermentation practical use

I've not had an all-rounder but I did have the Firmzilla 27 litre which was good, but I wasn't harvesting yeast and I was dry hopping through the lid, so my next purchase would have been an all-rounder, but instead I went with the Apollo snub nose. I'm very happy with the snub nose my only...

    Pressure Barrel for lager?

What kind of pressure barrel are you using ? Does it have a floating dip tube ? Are you largering in a dedicated fridge ? If It's feasible with your setup, I would fit ball locks gas and liquid posts and the proper tap on the fridge, or picnic tap. You'll get a much more controlable pour. The...

    Pressurised Fermentation practical use

I probably got it from AliExpress but they are available from UK suppliers including angel home brew. https://www.angelhomebrew.co.uk/fermzilla/618-duotight-blowtie-2-spunding-valve-pressure-relief-with-integrated-gauge-0-15psi.html Just realised your in Seville, there must be other suppliers...

    Pressurised Fermentation practical use

Makeup a jumper to connect your CO2 to your spunding valve to set the pressure. No need to add gas to the fermentation, allow fermentation to get going before adding the spunding valve. Once set your spunding valve won't allow pressure to go above the setting.

    No rinse sanitizers

I always mix Starsan, Chemsan or similar phosphoric acid sanitizer with Spotless water, it's much cheaper than any bottled water buy. (if it's available close to you). I also use it for all of my lagers !

    Mobile phone backups

If it's an Android phone open settings type backup, I would choose backup to Google from the list.

BZ gen 4 heat diffuser plate. A question re fitment.

Mine is exactly the same as yours regarding the position of the probe and the notch. Maybe try rotating the plate there may be a high spot. Mine didn't wobble until I rotated it and found a high spot.

Brewzilla dead - burnt out socket

I wouldn't worry too much, in my experience aircraft don't use the red sea 😂

BZ gen 4 heat diffuser plate. A question re fitment.

I don't think it's normal, mine certainly doesn't come in contact with the temperature probe. As previously mentioned , the temperature probe has been moved since the very early models. Do you have any photographs of the plate assembly ?

    Guinness

But the skill level is far more important with a cask conditioned ale ! That's why keg and nitro have taken over. Keg beer doesn't have the stigma that it used to have because of the craft beer Revolution.

    Who remembers this ?

    Lager brewer from Southampton

Welcome to the forum and welcome back to the hobby. First tip for brewing all grain lagers is to use soft water. I believe Southampton is a hard water area but there are some spotless water outlets near you. I use spotless water for my lagers. I had the water analyzed at Murphy and son...
