Both will work fine.
Quite often when starting out equal quantity's are recommended for ease.
To confuse you even more! Personally I use 30g starter 100g flour 100g water.
Stick with what you have been doing 👍
So I've made a mashing spoon, got some wood that I plan on scorching to go in the fv and have some chippings to smoke some malt.
A smoked porter is on the cards.
I'll try and keep things posted in the progress 👍
Interesting one tonight. Found 8 bottles of a sour saison that should of all been sinked, due to being undrinkable.
Turns out a one fifth blended with my brown porter is pretty nice👌
Just cut down a apple tree from the garden.
There Will be various spoons and kitchen equipment made.
Still plenty left. Thinking I should dry some and scorch for beer production.
Has anyone much experience?

I've seemed to of lost my cheap eBay pH meter.
I was thinking of getting another but then I'm really not that convinced how good they are.
Ive certainly never calibrated the thing!
Thinking strips may be better off for someone like me(crap at looking after things)
Good luck👍 all the Boletus mushrooms are in full bloom at the same time as theses so in less your cooking them just out of interest there's no real need.
Would be fun to do though I suppose..
