    Brettanomyces starter super funk

Not sure, lambicus is a super Brett though💪 I've always had tons of funk off of it. Are you going for a 100% Brett fermentation?

Uses for Spent Grain, Hope and Other Ingredients?

Another vote for chicken feed. Our girls won't even touch normal chicken feed anymore. The missis even has to tell me to brew now so they don't run out👍

    Yeast Dry or Liquid

I reuse trub from previous batch. Have us-05, Wilko, Wyeast Kolsch, Wyeast french Saison, Wyeast lambic blend and sour batch kidz all in jam jars. cheap easy and convenient👍

    Equipment poll

I'd imagine it depends a lot on what set up folks have? I'm only on two taps so need to get them up and running. I'd imagine if I had four taps the set and forget would be more tempting.

    Carlsberg ‘clone’?

I went to the Carlsberg museum in Copenhagen. They brew a old style from yeast they recovered from an old bottle. I found it very nice👍 The history of Carlsberg is really quite interesting. Reminds of of the right twix and left twix advert.

    Strange-steve's Homebrew Reviews

As usual I took no notes! It was never the plan to add cherries when I first put this brew on. I just stumbled on a local park with five cherry trees.. If memory serves me correctly it was two two litre ice-cream tubs. Could be way out though 🤦‍♂️

    Kolsch advice

Just a nice constant cool spot in your house. I always find under the kitchen table a good spot. I do understand that this probably isn't practical for many though 🤣

    Kolsch advice

I brew mine for two weeks at 14c, turn up to 18 for two days then cold crash. They seem to taste good from the off. But I'd say six weeks to clear. I use Wyeast Kolsch One of my favourite styles along with Altbiers 👍

    Strange-steve's Homebrew Reviews

Cheers Steve, I'd agree totally with your comments 👍 It had more cherry when it was young(it's not that old). I think I added them to early. Next year's batch I'll sit on my hands a little longer let the beer mature and add a lot more cherry's. Luckily I have loads of local trees that folk...

    The Mixed Fermentation Thread

Few updates on the bug beers.. First off a mate was moving house and had some unwanted demijohns in his garden. After a good scrub I've now room for some mini projects and am planning of filling the odd one up when kegging clean beers. First the other week was was my punk clone that I've added...
