    California Connoisseur instructions

Hi Just done one. It's a big page, I'll try to do some photo's tomorrow. The instructions are generic across the range so some bits apply, some don't. Essentially: Fill bucket with 2L of hot tap water (eh?). I did half recently boiled kettle, half cold. Add Bentonite, mix well. Says 'It...

    Milestone Shine On

I'm just coming to the end of my second batch of Shine On and I find myself looking forward to a bottle before dinner sometimes. I don't think I would drink it all night but it has interesting flavours and is certainly a good quality kit as are all the Milestone kits I have tried. Wilko don't...

    Milestone Shine On

I made a Shine On kit at the end of December and very much agree with your comments. At first I wasn't sure about it, some subtle flavours going on and different from the kind of beers I usually drink. Light, hoppy, citrus notes. During February it gradually grew on me. I don't know if that was...

wilko pinot grigio 30 bottle wine kit

In my opinion the Wilko 30 bottle kits seem to contain flavourings. If I'm right, making one up to 6 bottles would result in a very strong 'flavour'. It may be ok - or not. My wife made the Pinot Grigio (to 30 bottles) and it is not unpleasant. I seldom drink white wine so difficult to say more...

    Wilko's Own Brand Cerveza.

Hey, Grotzilla, how tastes differ. I've done 4 batches of Wilko's stout (picked them up for a fiver earlier in the year so not complaining) and made a note to try to find a decent stout for future :) But just a heads up for any who like the stout or others who like the cerveza, Wilko's have...

    Wilko's Own Brand Cerveza.

Yes, that's the one. Light Golden Lager. I just re-read my last sentence and it looks a bit clumsy. All I was trying to say was the cerveza is not a beer or should I say ale? But then nor is it exactly a lager imho. Brewbob. Just saw your post and it did improve over a few weeks. It is a cheap...

    Wilko's Own Brand Cerveza.

Hi, I'm new here but yes, I have done all three, the pils once, the other two twice. The first lager I did with sugar. Perfectly drinkable but wouldn't win any awards. The second with brewing sugar was pretty much the same. I only brewed it so my wife could experiment with using various syrups...

    Hi

I've been lurking around the boards for the past year or so. In particular looking for info on different kits. Got a good deal of useful stuff and think the kit review section is a great source. Well, some 30+ brews on, I guessed it was time to give something back (hopefully). I used to make...
