    Fermentation charts

I do the same, I view it in Brewfather to give an idea when it’s finished. The sg is always wrong because of the krausen on the ispindel but gives some idea of progress.

    Brewdog in trouble again

It would be good if they did sell lagunitas and beavertown in their bars in my view. I struggled to try a decent beer when I was in there a few weeks ago. 90% of the homebrew posted on the “what are you drinking tonight thread” are a better option that anything I found on their draft menu.

    Forming a virtual brewing club?

@DocAnna I‘ve entered a few competitions recently and they have all used the same software. It is called The Brew Competition Online Entry & Management (BCOE&M) system. I have emailed them to ask if they can add “The Home Brew Forum” as an option in the drop-down list of clubs.

What are you drinking tonight 2023.

More neipa. Bored of the lager I have in the other keg so will be drinking lots of this until the bitter in the fv is ready. It’s better to drink these fresh anyway right?

    S30 Refill Adapter

Ah ok I found some threads on it, it seems a bit more involved than I was hoping, plus needs another adapter. https://www.co2supermarket.co.uk/sodastream-cylinder-refill-adapter-guide-32.html

    S30 Refill Adapter

That’s interesting @LeeH, we just got a soda stream machine for xmas. I have a 6kg co2 bottle, how do I fill them up with that? I think sodastream refills are £12 otherwise.

    National Homebrew Competition

Yes that’s got to be a bit confusing. I must admit I don’t think it would be easy to be a judge though, I’d probably be useless. Both my feedbacks had a lot of comments and the scores in each section were basically identical, so I think these judges are pretty amazing. Both detected very...

    National Homebrew Competition

Haha agree, only one of mine said they’d drink a pint of it, and the chap who said he’d drink the sample gave it 42. Maybe he doesn’t like weissbier that much. Quite surprising really though considering I’d pretty much drink a pint of anything 😂

What are you drinking tonight 2023.

First pour of my first NEIPA, from the recipe in the Greg Hughes book. Ended up 6.6%, I’m certainly biased but I think it’s better than 90% of the hazy pales and ipa’s on the shelf at Tesco. Has 350g hops so ended up costing a relatively steep £2/litre. It has a pleasant bitterness considering...

    Barrel Aged Imperial Stout

Fantastic score really, I’d find it hard to improve much from that.

    Barrel Aged Imperial Stout

Yes I agree, it’s better to have some comments. Both of mine had a decent amount, probably similar to a normal scoring sheet so I was happy with mine.

Ok great. This one might help with ubidots:

@gingerneil may well be able to help you. I set mine up with Brewfather, it was fairly straightforward but not sure how to do ubidots I’m afraid

Absolutely, thanks to everyone involved, who give up their time to do this for the community 👍

My hefeweizen got 41 too, looking forward to seeing feedback.

Well done! Loved the name when I heard that called out! Irish red ale I think?

    Grain prices creeping up.

Fwiw there’s nothing wrong with crisp malt in my experience, I’ve got several bags of various types both new and old. Was good value but now might look at bairds.

    January Brew and Swap

I’m keen to join in the fun - I’m planning a first Belgian Wit so I’d choose that if I get a vote
