    Grainfather G30 V3 Malt Pipe

Yes, fits in the gap at the bottom, so works with either

    Grainfather G30 V3 Malt Pipe

Used the new malt pipe yesterday in combination with the new hop filter (false bottom), wort seemed much clearer than I remember and the boil also seemed much more vigorous which I think is partly due to that nice clear space at the bottom and less crud on the base allowing the element to...

Does AG take less time to condition than kits?

This will vary according to beer style and personal taste. Something like a NEIPA you'd package, carbonate and drink, however something like an trad ale will improve with a bit of time. There should be no difference between switching from kit to AG.

Pub takeaway drinks rules to be continued for 18 months

They've only done it as the pub has to pay a higher price for casks/kegs from a brewery if they plan to to sell for take away. The new duty laws that came in on the first mean anything for take away doesn’t get relief so the brewery pays more duty on it and the pub pays a higher price. So I...

    Salt deficiency , poor sleep

Might be worth you seeing the Doc rather than self diagnosing the lack of sleep issue due to salt. Long term sufferer of lack of deep sleep and REM. The doc found I had a vitamin B12 deficiency, was then put on B12 injections, now on B12 tablets whilst this has had a marked improvement I'm...

Adnams Ease Up Recipe - conversion to 23L

You could try that but one of the issues with the Adnams yeast is it is two strains, Adnams work hard to keep them in balance for each beer. Not sure how you would be able to ensure one didn't over power the other at home from a bit of dregs.

Adnams Ease Up Recipe - conversion to 23L

It might help you in future to know that Adnams use Simpsons Malts if you want to get closer to the real thing, and their house yeast has a very distinctive taste from it being a dual strain and is almost Belgian in flavour and spice. There are few good recent YouTube videos on this subject that...

    Any Suggestions With these hops?

I've used IH033 in a pilsner, was nice, should probably have used more than I did and aimed to make more like an Italian Pilsner as they have a real nice flavour and aroma to them.

PeeBee's Brewday - Low Alcohol Beer II

Just chiming in as this is on my to do list, wanted to say thanks for the threads, some really interesting stuff in here that I had not considered as options to achieve this. On a side note the low ABV beers that I tend to drink most of are Guinness 0, Lucky Saint, and the Aldi and Lidl ones

    Stuck ferment, or old kit?

Try adding some fresh yeast to it

Aldi Mulled Wine heater - Ball Valve?

Use a Q-max cutter, much tidier and easier to do it with that.

    Stout with Kveik Yeast

Yes you could do it, but is it going to taste good is the big question. The higher the temp on the Voss the more of those orange esters it will produce, could be like drinking a roasty chocolate orange. Hornindal however is an awesome Kveik strain for using to brew stout quickly. Oh and make...

Aldi Mulled Wine heater - Ball Valve?

Isn't it a molded tap and housing? You might be able to remove and replace with like for like but that shouldn't stop you from fitting a ball valve, just cut a hole in the side of it

Tribute style ale anybody done one ?

The yeast info came from someone at the brewery, it was about 20 years or so ago, when there was an issue in house so they had to 'borrow' Neames, and why you'll see on companies house that one of the Neame family was made a director at the time (now resigned). Don't know about the quality of...

Tribute style ale anybody done one ?

Been brewing a Tribute beer for a while, so first off thanks for this thread its given me some ideas on tweaking and improving it now that I can use Cornish Gold in it. Yeast is something else I'm working on at the moment, might try the growing some up from a bottle, but also considering using...

Brewer's Invert Sugar - the painless way!

In the same way that this is called brew length extender you can actually buy this in home brew format, both light and dark. Mangrove Jacks Beer Enhancer I use this in a recipe that I brew when it calls for Invert Sugar

    Cloudy wine

The time I had an issue with a wine kit not clearing it was because I'd done what a beer brewer would typically do, I tried cold crashing it, then learn that wine needs to be at room temp for the finings to work quicker. It did eventually clear with more time and not being so cold.

    Question for G40 users

Fitted the G70 tap on mine, but before that no I wasn't removing the nut to clean it out, I would just flush through with water.

    Nukatap dripping/leaking

What pressure are you running on the beer line to the tap? It is sometimes found that having low line pressure can cause taps to drip/leak
