    In last years Oatmeal stout , i used three vanilla beans ,which i split in half ,and then half again, then soaked them in a bit of rum for a week ,and then added it all to the FV for about ten days ,and this gave a mild but noticeable flavour.

    I have just done a quick search and the thermal cut out is attached directly to the coil ,in the states you can get a replacement for $4.95
