Equipment For Sale Free bottles, flasks stirplate, etc to a good home

I'm a man without a van, but the filing cabinet may still be possible. I think the freezer will be a white good too far though (both for the car and for the wife). I'll find out the weekend plan this evening and let you know when I can get to you. Thanks!

Equipment For Sale Free bottles, flasks stirplate, etc to a good home

It may be a bit of a trek for me @Spratt (I'm in Peterborough) but I'd really appreciate this gear so I could head over to you at some point over the weekend if that works? Cheers!

What are you drinking tonight 2023.

I'm on my holidays, but found this very tasty chilli beer at a tiny craft beer shop outside of Assisi 👌

    Grommet vs runner bung

I have lids with off-centre holes and with central holes, and haven't had a problem with either (though they have plenty of headspace to work with) I tend to prefer the lids with holes in the centre 🤷‍♂️

Order of Events: Counterflow chilling, whirlpooling, transferring

I think what I'm struggling with is stage 3 and 4 (recirculation of wort) undoing any benefits of the whirlpool at stage 2 by disturbing the wort and kicking the trub back up?

Order of Events: Counterflow chilling, whirlpooling, transferring

Hi all, I'm trying to get my head around the order of events for best results/clarity... My understanding is that: - whirlpooling is effective in getting unwanted matter to the center of the kettle/all-in-one to avoid bringing it across to the fermenter - chilling quickly allows the cold...

All In One for Smaller Batches

Thanks @stripeyjoe I went with that, plus another 5% off 👌 I'm seeing some bad reports about the gen 4, but hopefully it will work out! Just watched David Heath on YouTube do a 5l batch in the 65l version and can't wait to get started with it! @Nottsbeer thanks for sharing your experience too...

All In One for Smaller Batches

Thanks all, there are so many options to get to tasty beer! I'm leaning a little towards the tea urn / klarstein fullhorn type arrangement, so will investigate that a little further. That being said, I may well still end up going down the all in one route; knowing my own tendencies, I would...

All In One for Smaller Batches

Yes, whilst I'm happy to spend some money I can't afford the divorce that would follow this purchase..

All In One for Smaller Batches

Yes, currently I am doing BIAB, though restricted to smaller batches by a crappy electric hob and smaller pots -though obviously I could buy larger pots, but I'm already struggling with the boil if I push to 15l. I've also been looking at electric kettles for BIAB, but for the extra cost a...

All In One for Smaller Batches

Excellent, thanks Baron! I also found this after much searching: "In case anyone from the future comes here, Hopcat just got back to me, said it's fine, said minimum volume in the 45 is 12L"

All In One for Smaller Batches

Hi there, I've been mulling over picking up an All In One system - I'm currently looking at the Hopcat 45l (£399) or the Brewzilla 35l 3.1.1 (around £360 with the same accessories as the Hopcat) - but the main reason I am hesitating is that I'm not sure I always want to do larger batches...
