    I have found CML cider yeast to be a winner never fails and retains the flavour cheap as well perfect size for smaller DJ batches

    Cheers but as I bottle carbonate cider any sugar gets used by the yeast If i stop the fermentation, then i can bottle carb and she likes fizzy cider. Might try using as the priming sugar

    Yeah best before is not hard and fast expiry date, common sense needs to be applied and nature is very good at giving us indications of when not to consume something lol

    yep made something similar forma coat hanger and cables ties slim enough to fit in a DJ and works a treat. Degassing makes difference with wine as said it settles quicker and lose that home brew smell and taste soi much I now do it with cider
