Had to use the granny charger whilst waiting for my home charger to be installed ouch painfully slow, but i keep it in the neat little bag it came in for emergency or if away etc. Home charger i got an Ohme Home Pro, not the cheapest but its a smart charger so works with all the energy...

Enjoy it I have a late 2020 same car. Does most things great just watch the wheel spin on greasy roads the weight transfer and fwd with all that torque needs a very gentle right foot. Efficiency can be great I run mine in eco all the time plenty quick enough and scroll through the options to get...

Not wanting to stoke the fires here but I have been about 6 months with my EV now. Overall it's good to drive, I have a home charger it's convenient but not cheap I was tied a contract so did not have the cheap rate hopefully that changes once my switch to octopus is complete. Public charging...

1 - Do you still think it was a good move and prefer it to a ICE car? Not sure yet, I like the car, but been stung with huge drop in residuals meaning I am tied to this PCP deal and will see nothing at the end of it. The recent moves to remove salary sacrifice and and other tax grabs might slow...

The £40k applies to new LIST price including any options not the price you buy it for so unless manufacturers wisen up this drive fleet costs up ad reduce supply to the used market inflating prices again

ok maths never was my strong point but £410 per year is not a tenner a month, time you pay normal ved that £600 a year (that before they hike the VED duty in he budget) so unless my maths is flawed that £50 extra a month for an EV owner if they exceed the £40k linit that is fxed and does not...

I thought i came in with changes to low emissions that are back dated to 2017? Having looked again you are correct only applies from 1st April 2025, my mistake. Still think its a short sighted tax grab tho

sounds awesome sadly the expensive car tax system takes it out my budget and not sure i would want to take one at 5 years old to avoid it. RWD or AWD is definitely an advantage on EVs

The new model is by some considered less efficient due to the extra size and weight the MK1 is one of the lighter EVs

I have a 2020 Kona 64kw it's better than I thought comfy handles ok and quick enough. Charges at 70kw on DC and 10kw on AC. Get a solid 250 and some depends on weather and right foot. The radar cruise is superb on longer journeys even let's you adjust the gap to vehicle in front works very well...

The market has really settled amazing prices for some cars with decent range the MG5 sticks out as great buy practical big boot and decent range, I nearly took a 4 year old one on PCP so glad I didn't now. Just a shame am tied to my current deal but the Kona is working out to be very efficient...

I find modern bikes a bit different I have an old 2001 Fazer 600 engine has decent low mid range but being an inline 4 it can scream but the longer stroke of the older engine rally helps the torque. Modern twins have massive low end but no the drama and sound track top end. not saying either...

This is my point if this was adopted on a larger scale could reduce consumer bills and ease pressure on the grid a win win, to an extent could do the same with EV batteries those who are able to plug in during the day and night if the ability to use their batteries it could be a game changer
