    its my fridge it only has 2c to 8c and a 17c have to keep changing it round to get 10c and 12c which is a pain its Lallemand lager yeast diamond

    i used lager yeast and about 2 and half grams of yeast in 1 gallon demijohn, packet said 10c to15c but my fridge with only do 2c to 8c or just 17c , so i have been switching between 8c to 17c to keep it round the 10c and 12c which is a pain .

    that's something i picked up on with the airlock it came with red caps i thought they where just covers to keep clean in storage, do they need to be on the airlock , what dose the cotton do?
