I think the malt will be stopping it going any lower as it dosnt completely ferment out unlike sugar apparently if it's still at 1.014 thatll be as low as it will go

I use an inkbird to keep an eye on temperature and heat it as mines is outdoors only when it's hot outside do I need to cool it down i use a fan not the best but all i could come up with

Just bottled my first kit that didnt go to final gravity so worked out at 4percent someone suggested due to the use of spraymalt question is if I was doing sam kit with same spray malt how much additional sugar should I add to a 23l kit to get an extra percent?

It sounds like its finished my lager just finished at 1.016 was ment to go to 1.006 someone on here said it would be the spray malt that it would give a higher gravity than brewing sugar

To be honest it could be 1percent as long as it a good tasting lager I'm happy but it's good to know the kits say 1.2kg liquid malt extract instead of sugar should I use more to keep the abv the same?

So next time add some brewing sugar aswell? How much what about lme?

I just finished my first kit mangrove jacks gold lager my target fg was 1.006 but mine has stuck at 1.016 the kit didnt give original gravity but first time reading hydrometer I recorded a 1.044 but thinking back it could have been 1.046 abv was ment to be 4.4 question is what have I done wrong...

It dosnt taste sweet and wasnt to bad tasting so was just going to go with it not concerned over the abv as such just trying to work out what went wrong for next time I did substitute all the sugar for spraymalt unsure if that would affect gravity or not

I just took another hydrometer m reading and its stuck at 1.016 that was 2 days ago it was at the same its ment to finish around 1.006 I recorded an og of 1.044 ment to be 4.4%

Yeah I've just started hombrewing so hopefully at some point I'll make the jump to ag thinking if coopers European lager festival ones a few mangrove jacks I've seen the craft range and even looked at muntons gold
