Thanks. I was thinking post fermentation. It looks ok and tastes fantastic. Going to put another one on to stock up for Christmas. I also have a good amount of creamy harvested proper job yeast for the next one. I highly recommend stepping up a starter from bottle conditioned proper job. It...
My tribute looks lighter that the original. Has anyone used black malt liquid extract to adjust the EBC? It's not a big issue just wondered if anyone has? I have some which says to use 30ml per 25l to increase by 10EBC. Once to yeast has dropped out I think it may look slightly darker anyway...
Tribute brew day went very well. I used a bottle of proper job to step up the cell count. Very lively yeast and tastes very clean. I added 25g extra Willamette in the whirlpool. Just a few pics from brew day.
Brewed a St Austell Tribute on Monday. Used a cultured ‘proper job’ yeast. OG 1.044 to 1.010 today. Used the Brewuk kit but added and extra 25g Willamette in whirlpool.

I have to disagree to needing 8 bottles of proper job. I have used one bottle and made a step up starter. Second step now has a two inch krausen and looking very active. I didn’t believe it would work but it does. I’m about to brew a tribute with this starter. Does anyone have an accurate water...
Hi there. Does anyone have a water profile for tribute? I’m guessing very soft. I have an RO system and have stepped up a starter using proper job yeast from the bottle so hoping I can make it very close. Cheers
