    Yeah I was the boss, the labour was cheap. I was hoping to get better temp control and efficiency out new mash tun. I got 72% efficiency, which is around the same as I have been getting with BIAB, the temp was slightly better. Its also nice to change a brew day every now and then

    Yeah! In one of my previous brews i used 150g! It turned out just right for my palate! Not brewed using these two hops tho!

    My hops go in my compost bin. The spent grain I use when I go carp fishing. I use it as a bed of food and fish on top. I know a few local breweries that give there grain away to local farms for the pigs.

    1st Anniversary

    Today marks the 1 Year Anniversary of switching to grain brewing! In this time I have done 30 brews, all have been nice with the exception of one! AG#10 Portside. I should have really brewed today to mark to occasion!

    Elland Brewery Tour

    Yesterday I did a tour of Elland Brewery. In total there was 30 of us. The tour lasted around 15 minutes, which was one of the quickest tours I have done to date. This left us with plenty of time to sample the ales. Think we had 3 1/2 hours in total. This is what we had to sample, and so far...
