    Thanks Mick, thats a few worth looking at, just annoys me when classic British hops are a decent price then big C's are always a couple of quid more

    Thanks for your replies, and great input, but I think the question still applies, I know the IBU of the big C's is distinct, but can you combine or use other hops?

    Hello everyone, I see many recipes for ipa's especially that require the big American C hops which tend to be rather more expensive than more obscure hops, my question is does anyone use less well known hops (and possibly cheaper) that get the same results?

    Thankyou for the advise, how much much DME would you recommend, and which yeast would you use?I would like 4.5 to 5% ABV if possible, my coldest room is currently a steady 18°C, oh and would you put the kit yeast in too,

    Hello everyone, I'm going to start my next brew after doing my first which was a standard Australian lager kit, tastes ok see what it's like in a few weeks.
