    Ok. Element dried, wort back on boil lost about 3L but I can live with that, just going to add water as I'm too lazy to do the maths to recalculate the hops :D

    Doing a slightly modified version of the Big Kenny recipe Just got the spare quilt wrapped round it now :D Was hoping for a mash temp of 68C and it came in at 66.9, so not bad for beginners luck. 90 mins to kill, think I'll go grab a homebrew :cheers:

    cheers pittsy That's that set up now. I'll leave like that for a week before moving back to the cool cupboard. Guess there's no issue with the bottle being fully submerged as the caps will be air and water tight.

I realise that the ideal situation is to store the bottles somewhere warm for 2 weeks (18-25c) then another 2 weeks cool (12-15c), but with the current weather oop north I currently have no rooms that have a temp higher than 16c.
