    Banana Wine, Massive hit :)

I've never done a Banana wine before, this looks pretty easy and interesting, so will have to try it. Do you think a small amount of white concentrate would improve this, or maybe overpower it? Currently brewing; 2 gallons wild English Autumn fruits red. (Elderberries, blackberries, crab...

    Sake

I'm not sure this is technically Sake, but here's a rice-wine recipe. (Adapted from CJJ Berry, First Steps in Winemaking.) 1lb (half kilo) raisins 1.66lb (3 qtr kilo) uncooked rice 3.3lb (1 & half kilo) sugar Juice of 1 lemon (or spoon of citric acid) I use a dessert/ high alcohol yeast...

    Coopers, Australian Pale Ale Review

One of my favourite kits, I've done this one about ten times. Do remember it's an Australian pale ale, so don't expect it to turn out like an IPA (for instance.) It's quite light, and more like a lager consistency with a slight 'pale' taste to it. This is the kit that most tastes like the...

    Geordie Scottish Export Review

I'm about to get one of these on the go as I do every Autumn. I love it, one of my favourite kits, and I've never had a problem with this or any other Geordie kits. I always just use packet sugar to both ferment & prime, always bottle, and this has always turned out a quite light...

    modifying a Coopers IPA

Probably a bit late to reply now as I'm sure your Cooper's Pale has finished brewing. Are you sure it's India Pale (which in Cooper's kits I've never heard of) or Australian Pale. If it's Australian Pale Ale, it's not meant to be anything like IPA, and I wouldn't mess about with it too much...

    Hey hey

Hi mate. I'm sure many people will recommend a book First Steps in Wine Making by CJJ Berry. It's got loads of really good recipes and some unusual ones! After a while you'll learn to adapt the recipes to your own ideas. I always do beer from kits, but I'm not so keen on the wine kits, often...

    Hello Everyone!

I've just joined, found the site by accident at my mates' earlier looking for recipes for Chilli Wine, or even if such a thing existed! There's some guy got some ideas and I wanted to suggest some ideas. I'll have a look to see if I can find him! I've been brewing maybe seven years now. I brew...
