    cheers mate, thats good to know, have a hole in the top of the bin but never put an airlock in it. hopefully then the brew should be ok. many thanks. :cheers:

    silly question possibly, does the brewing bin need to be airtight for it to brew properly? should a airlock need to be used? and if not airtight what would happen to the brew? cheers all

    managed to get it to 19.2c. Would the 36hrs or so it was at 25c in anyway ruin the brew?

    cheers mate, do have a heat belt on so will take it off and see if it drops much. Thanks for your help.

    hi, hope someone can help, got my first brew of nelsons revenge on the go yesturday, just checked the temperature and it was 26c which did seem high. The brew is fermenting but didn't know if I could drop the temperature with fear of ruining it. It does state on the box it should be 18-20c.
