    BrewDog recipes

I have brewed Dead Pony Club from the DIYdog, and also one of their imperial black IPAs, both came out great, the pony club especially which was very representative. I often use the grain bills from some of their recipes and play around with the hops too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    The right direction

There's a lot of really good information out there, this forum included, and some really good books. I can recommend the new CAMRA book that came out last week (from what I have read so far) and also the Greg Hughes Home Brew Book is excellent, both have a variety of recipes in them......then...

    New to brew

Not sure what equipment or method the OP is using but I am using three vessel with a coolbox mashtun and I used to add boiling water to reach a mashout temp and was running out of space in my mash tun before getting to mashout temp. Nowdays I don't bother, after the main mash I sparge with...

    July Competition

Hi, Relatively new forum member here and competition virgin. I have just posted a bottle of my American Brown Ale. Hadn't realised 'open' meant so exotic and experimental, not expecting my plain old Brown to do so well now, there are some great sounding beers here!

    Yeast suspension.

Batch priming is soooo much easier, and ensures a consistent result. That way you can also weigh how much priming sugar you add (even if you do measure it out with teaspoons), so you a have a record and can adjust accordingly next time. Not all teaspoons are equal ;-)

    What did you brew today?

My first Saison brewed yesterday and bubbling away nicely when I got up this moring. Pilsner, Vienna and Wheat with EKG and Stryian Goldings. Split the boil in to two, one with lemon and Basil and one with orange peel and peppercorns, both pitched with M29 French Saison. Bit too warm in the...

    Telford Homebrew Meet

Hi, looks like I missed this one but I am over in Bridgnorth and reasonably new to homebrewing, having started all grain brewing in October last year. Is this a regular meet or will there be any more planned?

Brewing "off piste" for the first time.

This is pretty much how I got started, I brewed a few AG kits, followed a few recipes and then after four or five brews had a enough left over ingredients for a 'Kitchen Sink' brew.....and it's was pretty good, and a great way to learn. Hope it turns out good for you, Amarillo is one of my...

    Possible contamination.

But how was the cat after?!

Saison yeast not started yet, and I split the brew.

I'm thinking of having a play around with some different flavours in a Saison soon by splitting a boil, I'd be interested to hear how the lemon and basil turns out and what sort of amounta of additions you used in your 4 litres?
